Introduction - Welcome to My Corner of the Universe!

Before I jump in, I just want to thank you SO much for taking your time to visit my blog! I’ve had it on my heart for a while now to share the Word of God publicly, and I pray that this is an opportunity for all of us, me included, to pursue the Lord more and more every day. For now, I just want to share a little bit about myself, why I even have this blog in the first place, and my goals for creating this space.

As most of you guys know, my name is Mallory, and even though I grew up in a Christian household my whole life, I’ve only been chasing a relationship with God for a little over a year now. Even though this doesn’t sound like very much time, it has completely changed my perspective and made me a whole new person. I am learning so much every day, and I have so many wise mentors that have given me an example of how to lead a life of Christ and how to be fruitfully abundant…you know who you are :).

While I was in the brainstorming phase of Authentic Faith, I wrote out my goals and hopes for this blog, hoping to get some inspiration. My top point was that I want to give people a realistic peek into my life and share things I’ve learned to help others. This is important to me, because there are so many people, especially on social media, that strive for absolute perfection. Even though it may look more “aesthetically pleasing” that way, it can lead many people to feeling doubt and being unsure about themselves. By being authentic, in both the good times and the crazy ones, I hope to be an inspiration to live authentically in their own faith each and every day. People don’t look up to Christians who are “perfect” and have never made a mistake. Personally, I look up to the people in my life that have made countless mistakes, but still choose to seek God before everything else: that is true growth! In addition, I want to grow stronger in my own faith through diving deeper than ever into the words of the Bible, and I hope to encourage others to chase God and learn what it means to be in a relationship with him.

One important thing about this blog: I don’t want this to be a sort of teacher-student thing, but instead, I hope that it can be a sort of conversation between us all. I will share what God has taught me lately and things that I have learned in my journey, and all you guys can join in and share your own perspective and give your own beautiful insight into the Word of God. How cool does that sound? I hope to develop greater relationships with all of you guys as well, and to create an environment for fellowship.

Next, I want to give you all the rundown, a quick summary of what this blog is going to look like. Naturally, I want to write about things that I’ve experienced, seen, and learned. Because I am a Bible-believer, you guys are going to see a lot about my journey in becoming more like Christ, and things that I feel more people should know about. In addition, I might add some things about school and being a teenager, provided I have an idea. If you guys have any ideas for topics I could talk about, or anything you are curious about, Mallory-wise, let me know! I would love to get other people involved, and help grow this so that it can reach more people.

I hope to put my first “official” blog post up very soon (hopefully in the next week, fingers crossed), and will be working very diligently to be a good example of bearing Christlike fruit and living like Him. I love you guys more than you even know, and it means the world for you guys to invest even a few minutes of your time into something that means so much to me. See you soon!
